There are many ways to approach soft tissue dysfunction. Only checking if the muscle is weak/strong and shortened/lengthened is not the proper approach as most techniques teach. Looking at agonists, antagonists and cross cord relationships must be addressed as well. All soft tissue techniques can be beneficial if the appropriate evaluation is made. Dr. Corbin utilizes many techniques for the relief of pain and improvement of function due to soft tissue dysfunction. These include Fluid Motion Technique which is similar to Graston, Myofascial Release which uses a manual hand contact to bring about physiological changes within the muscle and also ROCKTAPE which is a form of kinesiology taping to improve pain and performance.
